Kids, adults, housewives, soldiers, law enforcement officers, people of all fitness and skill levels have been tremendously successful in our program. Proven in combat, proven in tournament competition, proven in self defense. These are the reasons why Wabujitsu International has been at the forefront of the personal defense movement. Wabujitsu was designed with the common person in mind. Self-defense training should be accessible and easy for ALL types of people to learn, regardless of your current fitness level, age, or gender. Our Program Our goal is to provide realistic training, in a safe non-threatening atmosphere, to anyone who chooses to attend. Our program has been extraordinarily successful for a very diverse group of people, from totally inexperienced students to experts in other disciplines, from children to adults, the physically fit to the handicapped. While working on this goal, we insist that the students and instructors do not neglect some very important aspects of our training program: building mutual respect for our peers, building personal respect, and most importantly, having fun while learning!!
What It Is and What to Expect The new student can expect a very friendly and helpful environment. New students are introduced to easy yet effective techniques that can be used immediately in a self-defense situation. A basic framework of strategy and tactics is taught along with the techniques. The student is gently guided along a training path that, over time, slowly increases the physical and mental challenges thus increasing skill and confidence. Ultimately the student learns to respond in a free-form way with confidence and devastating effectiveness, in spite of the high stress of a real attack. The new student also needs to realize that nothing good will come easy. Any type of self-defense training will involve perseverance, dedication, and an open mind. We are serious about our training, but we have serious FUN while training! |
